The Calgary Interfaith Council works with our members and friends on opportunities and projects which reflect our mission to build a more just and respectful Calgary through:
- Deepening relationships across faith traditions
- Celebrating diversity
- Learning from and about each other
The Calgary Interfaith Council is committed to creating programs, activities, and information that educates our members and the citizens of Calgary about the religious beliefs, values, and observances of the numerous faith communities that are the hallmarks of our city’s rich tapestry of diversity and multi-culturalism. Greater knowledge leads to authentic appreciation of both the commonalities and unique differences that characterize faith community. This in turn leads to a reduction of harmful attitudes and instead fosters an interest in developing personal and communal relationships with other people of faith.
