The World Interfaith Harmony Week was first proposed at the UN General Assembly on September 23, 2010 by H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan. Just under a month later, on October 20, 2010, it was unanimously adopted by the UN and henceforth the first week of February will be observed as a World Interfaith Harmony Week. The City of Calgary is proclaiming February 1-7, 2017 to be World Interfaith Harmony Week in Calgary.

February 1 – Opening Ceremony, 6:00-7:30pm, City Hall Atrium

February 2 – Interfaith Breakfast, 8:00am, Beth Tzedec

February 2-8 – Open Houses  and Pulpit Exchanges

February 4Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build Day, 9:00am, Bowness (volunteers welcome)

February 5 - Evening of Uplifting Music & Poetry, 7:30-9:00 at Knox Presbyterian Church

February 6 - Dancing on a Ray of Light: Transsexuality and other Border Crossings, University of Calgary - Faith & Spirituality

February 6Launching 50 Stories of Faith, A Gift in Celebration of Canada's 150 Anniversary, 3:30-5:30pm, Wild Rose United
